The most recent event was the Nativity Pageant at Hayvatt Green inspired by farmer Anthony Brown and masterminded by Churchill Methodist Church. The months of planning and preparation lead to a fantastic afternoon in December. Visitors arrived and registered for the Census supervised by Roman Centurions. There was music from the cowshed led by the Community School Gospel Choir and the cattle were lowing too! Mary and Joseph arrived on their donkeys but had to be turned away from the farmhouse Band B and were sent to the stable. Baby Jesus was born and the nativity tableau took place complete with angels. The audience warmed up with some warm soup and refreshments and then moved back to the cowshed for some carol singing and a blessing from Rev Julie Letts.
